오늘 갑자기 큰 별이 하나 또 사라졌습니다.
마이클 잭슨- 그가 갑자기 세상을 떠난지라
미국 특히 이곳 LA지역은 발칵 뒤집어졌습니다.
저도 하루 내내 가슴이 아프네요.
참 많은 사람들이 그처럼 노래하고 싶어 했었고,
그 처럼 춤 추고 싶어 했었고
또 그처럼 스타가 되고자 꿈을 가지게 했던 정말 큰 별이 이었는데...
그의 잦은 성형과 희귀한 병만큼이나 귀궤한 소문도 많아
세상 사람들에게 퍽이나 시달렸고,
또 너무나 많은 스트레스로 약도 많이 먹어 왔다지요...
그의 노래들을 별로 즐겨 듣진 않았지만
이즈음의 곡중에서 'Heal the World'-나 'You are not alone' 듣고 싶네요.
제가 Utube에서 퍼 올려해도 어떻게 하는지 몰라서요ㅠㅠ;;
참 다시 DJ로 컴백하심-정말 반갑고 감사드려요.
이곳 팬들을 위해서라도 늘 몸조심 단단히 하세요.

저 지금 감격해서 눈물이 막 막 나오는거 있죠!!!
퍽 오랜 만에 OFF를 받아 구석구석 밀린 집안 일하다가 마이클 잭슨 사망 소식듣고 너무 마음이 먹먹해서 컴퓨터 붙들고 주저 앉아 있다가 문득 신청 올렸는데, 신청한지 30분도 안돼 올려 주시다니... 서울과 LA-광속도로 하나가 된 것 같은 느낌입니다.
사람은 떠나고 나면 그 큰자리가 더 크게 느껴진다지요.
그이 저랑 동갑이예요...
아직 오래오래 많은 이들에게 기쁨과 위안과 꿈을 줄 수 있었는데...
너무나 큰 별이었기에 많은 이들에게 빛도 주었고 꿈도 주었지만
그 그늘 만큼이나 너무나 시달렸던 사생활... 이제는 푸욱 쉴 수있겠지요.
저는 그를 세상의 탑스타로 올린 그의 한창 전성기의 노래들 보다 이즈음의 노래들을 참 좋아했어요. 세상 풍파 다 겪어 단단해지고 난 뒤 정화된 물 처럼, 맑은 이즈음의 목소리는 정말 노래 말처럼 세상 구석구석 상처 받은 이들을 치유하는 느낌이 들었거든요....

오늘 오후 이곳 LA시각으로 6월 25일 오후 2시 20분경-
우리는 또 하나의 큰 별을 잃었습니다.
늘 손에 잡힐듯이 많은 노래를 들려 주었던 마이클 잭슨이
심장마비로 50세 나이에 훌쩍 떠나버렸습니다.
생전에 별로 그의 노래를 즐겨 듣는 편이 아니었던 저 였지만
하루 종일 믿기지 않아 그져 가슴이 먹먹한데,
일터에 가 있던 우리 큰 아들- "엄마,엄마, ...아세요?" 하며
화급하고 슬픈 목소리로 전화왔네요.
그러고 보면 그는 참으로 큰 별이었습니다.
한 동안 천문학적인 숫자로 돈도 엄청 벌었겠지만 잘못된 재정관리로 빚도 엄청나
앞으로의 콘서트로 갚아 나갈 계획이라 다시 좋은 곡들들 기대할 수 있었는데...
그가 떠나고 나서야 다시금 그의 큰 자리와
그간의 스캔달과 스트레스로 인해 엄청난 약을 먹으며 지내온 그의 삶의 무게...
그간 그가 받았던 세상사람들의 호기심, 시샘과 입 방아에
저도 한 몫을 하지 않았나도 생각해 봅니다.
한 나라의 나랏님도 스스로 세상을 떠나고,
국경이 없이 전 세계 많은 사람들에게 즐거움과 위안과 꿈도 주었던
한창 나이의 탑 스타도 홀로 갑자기 외롭게 세상을 지기에
문득 우리에게 주어진 공간과 시간의 의미와 감사함-
소명 또한 다시금 생각케 합니다.
이렇게 보잘것 없는 제가
그래도 이만큼의 평안을 누리고 감사히 하루를 마감하는 것은
정말 그 크신분의 은혜임을 다시금 고백하는 밤입니다.
